Ranchi, Nov 27: BIT Mesra organized a special event on November 26 to commemorate Constitution Day. The program aimed to honour the historic adoption of the Indian Constitution and highlight its pivotal role in shaping the nation’s democratic framework.
The ceremony began with the Preamble reading, led by Assistant Registrar (Legal) Nidhi Jaiswal, with active participation from all attendees. The deans, department heads, faculty members, students, and staff collectively recited the core principles of the Constitution.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Indranil Manna emphasized the importance of educating young minds about the Constitution and its provisions. He urged students to actively participate in democratic processes and uphold the principles of justice, equality, and fraternity in their personal and professional lives.
The Chief Guest, Governor’s OSD (Judicial) Mukulesh Chandra Narayan, delivered the keynote speech, discussing fundamental rights and the unique features of the Indian Constitution. He shed light on the adoption process and the Constitution’s silent provisions.
A special interactive session was also held, where students of BIT Mesra campus engaged in discussions on the evolution of the Constitution and its impact on modern India. The session fostered a learning environment and encouraged respect for the guiding document of the nation.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Registrar Dr. Sandeep Dutta. The program was anchored by Mrinal Pathak.
