Jamshedpur, Sept 28: In a bid to provide healthcare services to the underprivileged, BJP leader and social worker Shiv Shankar Singh organized a free health checkup camp at Kalindi Kalyan Samiti Bagunahatu C Block (Kalindi Basti).

The camp saw overwhelming participation, with hundreds of slum dwellers, including children, men, women, and the elderly, benefiting from free health consultations and medicines.

The initiative aimed to support marginalized sections of society who often struggle to access healthcare services. Attendees received comprehensive health checkups, and necessary medications were distributed free of cost.

Speaking on the occasion, Shiv Shankar Singh said, “As a social worker, it is my responsibility to ensure that those who cannot afford medical treatment are not left behind. These camps are being organized regularly to provide assistance to the needy and helpless patients who are unable to get treatment at hospitals.”

The camp featured a team of doctors and specialists, including dentist Dr. Zeba Afreen, Dr. Danish Javed, Manish from Purnima Netralaya, and eye specialist Sharia Naz. Additionally, Renu Devi, Sujan Adhikari from Aastha Diagnostic Center (Pathkind Lab), and Riyaz provided their services during the event.

The camp also witnessed the presence of several notable figures from the community. Kalindi Samaj chief Agastya Kalindi, BJP Baridiha Mandal president Jeevanlal Sahu, and youth wing president Kanchan Dutta were present, along with Raju Kalindi, secretary Sajal Kumar Shal, and vice president Suresh Kalindi, who extended their support for the successful organization of the event.

The free health camp was widely appreciated by the residents of Kalindi Basti, who expressed their gratitude to Shiv Shankar Singh and the medical professionals for their selfless efforts in bringing healthcare services to their doorstep.
