Ranchi, Feb 27: The CBI court has dealt a major blow to 10 charge-sheeted accused in the first JPSC recruitment scam, rejecting their anticipatory bail pleas.

The special CBI court in Ranchi turned down the petitions filed by Haribansh Pandit, Yogendra Prasad, Praveen Rohit Kujur, Vijay Kumar, and others seeking protection from arrest.

Meanwhile, the court has reserved its verdict on the bail plea of another accused, Ajay Singh Baraik, and is set to announce its decision on February 28.

The petitions of Seema Singh and Mohan Lal Marandi will be heard in the first week of March.

Earlier, the special CBI court in Ranchi had also dismissed the bail pleas of Arvind Kumar Lal, Lakhiram Baski, Sanjay Pandey, Anjana Das, and Sadhana Jaipuria.

Notably, on January 16, the CBI court took cognizance of the case and issued summons against 74 individuals, including 47 corrupt officials, putting them at risk of arrest.
