Jamshedpur, June 27: CII Jharkhand today organised a session here on Cloud with the theme – Accelerate, Innovate and Expand Securely.
At the session professional leaders from industry deliberated on emerging technologies and their potential impact on cloud services. Also, eminent speakers from Oracle shared their thoughts on understanding cloud with Oracle.
Cloud computing poised to surpass $832 billion by 2025
Diloo Parikh, Chairman, CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council and Managing Director, Vaidehi Motors Pvt Ltd emphasised India’s digital business landscape as a rapidly advancing economy, driven by technological progress, supportive government policies, and a flourishing startup ecosystem. This growth trajectory positions India among the world’s fastest-growing digital economies, with significant potential for further expansion.
He stated that Cloud computing, now a cornerstone industry valued globally at $371 billion, is poised to surpass $832 billion by 2025, underscoring its pivotal role in shaping India’s digital future.
AI adoption ultimate goal: Sarajit Jha
Sarajit Jha, Convenor, CII Jharkhand ICT, Startup and Innovation Panel and Chief Business Transformation and Business Solutions, Tata Steel said, “Cloud technology is viewed as indispensable for enabling growth, with AI adoption seen as the ultimate goal”.

The transformation of industries hinges on three key aspects within the cloud paradigm – accessing data and digital infrastructure, separating innovation from infrastructure, and democratizing data. These pillars are essential for fostering secure innovation within organizations. Four critical processes—campaign to order, procure to pay, hiring capabilities, and record to report—form the foundation of a robust organizational framework.
He added, “Despite potential challenges, the cloud journey accelerates innovation, enhances security, and paves the way for efficient AI utilization worldwide.”
Cloud tech key for MSMEs: Sanjay Sabherwal
Sanjay Sabherwal, Chairman, CII Eastern Region MSME Subcommittee and Managing Director, Metalwork Industries Ltd said “In India, there are 6.4 crore MSMEs, with over 99% categorized as micro enterprises. Accelerating and innovating are crucial goals across all business sizes”.
The introduction of self-owned businesses in the late 1990s revolutionized global work practices. Cloud technology offers unparalleled agility, stability, and scalability, reshaping operations for MSMEs without requiring significant upfront capital investment. This democratization of processes empowers micro enterprises to leverage IT and digitalization for business enhancement, marking a significant shift in how small businesses operate and grow.
