“Judgements of the Supreme Court (SC) and the Calcutta High Court had extended INMF (INTUC) representation in the JBCCI- XI meeting. So, the INMF deserves representation in the Standardisation Committee meeting to be held tomorrow,” said Anup Singh and AK Jha, who are also national vice presidents of INTUC, in the letter.

They have also said that the Standardisation Committee is a sub-committee of JBCCI. “Relevant issues of JBCCI are discussed and decisions are taken in the Standardisation Committee. Hence the workers and members of Federation / INTUC are facing difficulties due to ignorance by CIL and coal ministry, government of India in this crucial meeting,” they said.

The INTUC leaders have also pointed out to the coal minister that the INMF has enough miners’ membership in all subsidiaries company of CIL to get proper representation in the JBCCI and its sub-committee.
