Jamshedpur, July 7: Deputy Commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum, Karn Satyarthi, conducted a detailed inspection of Sadar Hospital in Jamshedpur on Monday to assess the availability and quality of healthcare services being provided to patients.

During the visit, he examined the medical infrastructure and interacted with both patients and hospital staff to gather first-hand information about the conditions and services at the hospital.

The DC visited several key wards, including the General Ward, Women’s Ward, Maternity Ward, Pediatric Ward, Emergency Room, and the Outpatient Department (OPD).

He closely reviewed the cleanliness of the premises, availability of medicines, presence of medical staff, and basic patient amenities in each section.

Interacting with patients and their attendants, Satyarthi inquired about the accessibility of medicines, quality of food, diagnostic services, and any challenges they might be facing during their treatment.
He gave a patient hearing to grievances and suggestions, aiming to improve service delivery at the hospital.
Emphasizing the importance of quality healthcare, the DC instructed the Civil Surgeon to ensure that all doctors and healthcare personnel perform their duties with utmost sincerity and treat patients with empathy and respect.

He also directed that hospital premises be kept clean, potable drinking water be readily available, and all medical equipment be kept functional at all times.
Accompanying him during the inspection were Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal, ACMO Dr. Jogeshwar Prasad, DRCHO Dr. Ranjit Panda, and other senior medical officers and staff members.
