Dhanbad, July 8: Dhanbad indoor badminton stadium and Kala Bhawan will be renovated and equipped with modern facilities.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Madhvi Mishra along with other officials of district administration inspected Dhanbad indoor badminton stadium, Kala Bhawan, multi gym on Monday and directed the executive engineer of the building division to prepare estimates for their renovation.

The DC took serious note of water logging in the campus of Kala Bhawan and ordered the executive engineer to work out a permanent solution of the problem so that artists of Kala Bhawan, players of the badminton stadium and gym users (athletes, body builders) do not face any inconvenience.

After assuming office in February, Deputy Commissioner Madhvi Mishra first time visited the indoor stadium as well as Kala Bhawan and inspected the badminton court, gym and other facilities. She asked to equip more modern equipment in a multi gym and maintain the cleanliness of the place.

During her visit she also took details of the stadium booking charge for organizing programmes, audit reports of income and expenditure.

DIRD special officer Rajiv Ranjan, SDM Uday Rajak and executive engineer of building division Chandan Kumar were also with the Deputy Commissioner.
