DC sets 2-month deadline for Ghatshila Heritage Village completion

Jamshedpur, June 24: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Karn Satyarthi on Monday inspected the ongoing construction of the Heritage Village at Kashida Panchayat in Ghatshila block, being developed under the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission.

Reviewing the progress on-site, the DC expressed concern over the delay and instructed officials and the executing agency to complete all pending work within two months.

He emphasized that the project holds immense importance in preserving the cultural heritage of the district and will serve as a catalyst for tourism and employment generation in the region.

Key concerns such as electricity supply, drainage, and other essential infrastructure were highlighted during the visit. DC Satyarthi directed the respective departments to resolve these issues promptly and ensure no further delays.

He stressed the need for strict adherence to quality standards and urged all stakeholders to work in close coordination for the timely completion of the project.

The inspection was attended by SDO Sunil Chandra, BDO, CO, District Sports Officer, contractors, and other departmental officials.
