Deoghar, Sept 10: Deoghar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Naman Priyesh Lakra felicitated students from the district who excelled at the state level in the 10th and 12th board examinations of JAC, CBSE, and ICSE. The ceremony, organized by the district administration at the collectorate, celebrated the achievements of students with cash prizes and digital gifts.
At the event, ICSE Board second topper of the state, Shreya Keshri from Deoghar, was awarded Rs 2 lakh in cash, along with a laptop and a mobile phone. Another achiever, Ridhima Sukriti, who secured the third position in Jharkhand in CBSE (Arts), was felicitated with Rs 1 lakh in cash, a laptop, and a mobile phone.

Encouragement for future success
While presenting the awards, DC Lakra wished the students a bright future and urged them to continue working hard. He said such recognition would inspire other students in the district to strive for excellence.

“Your success at the state level is a matter of pride for Deoghar district. It will motivate more students in the region to perform better in the future and aim for top positions in the state examinations,” said DC Lakra.

Parents and officials appreciate the initiative
As Shreya Keshri could not attend the program, her parents received the award on her behalf and praised the DC for launching such an encouraging initiative for students.
The deputy commissioner has set cash prizes of Rs 3 lakh for state toppers, Rs 2 lakh for second toppers, and Rs 1 lakh for third toppers across JAC, CBSE, and ICSE boards.

The function was attended by Additional Collector Hira Kumar, District Education Officer (DEO) Vinod Kumar, District Superintendent of Education (DSE) Madhukar Kumar, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, other officials, and a large gathering of students’ guardians.
