Deoghar, March 21: Deoghar district has launched an ambitious initiative, Project BETI (Bridging Education Through Initiative), aimed at empowering girls and making them self-reliant. The project was jointly inaugurated by Deoghar District and Session Judge Ashok Kumar and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vishal Sagar.

In its first phase, the project will provide training to 22 girls, aged between 15 and 18 years, through the Food and Craft Institute (FCI) Deoghar.
A Pioneering Step for Self-Reliance in Jharkhand
Deoghar becomes the first district in Jharkhand to initiate such an ambitious project aimed at making girls self-reliant.

While inaugurating the project, District and Session Judge Ashok Kumar commended the efforts of DC Vishal Sagar and emphasized the collective vision to transform the Correction cum Observation Home into a model institution. He highlighted how this initiative would help girls learn new skills and fulfill their dreams.

Objective of Project BETI
Speaking at the launch, DC Vishal Sagar outlined the goals of Project BETI, which are focused on empowering and training girls from the observation home, and integrating them into mainstream society.
The project will include a 30-day skill enhancement training program designed to shape the future of these girls.
Sagar added that the district administration is committed to improving their lives and helping them become part of the mainstream society.
Training and Certification for a Brighter Future
As part of the project, the girls will receive training in basic hotel management and housekeeping activities at the Food Craft Institute (FCI) Deoghar.
FCI and Deoghar district administration will give certificates to girls after training which will help them build a future in the hospitality sector. The project aims to equip them with the skills necessary to create a better future for themselves.
“District administration is committed to improving g their lives and integrating the them into mainstream society. The girls will be given basic hotel management training along with housekeeping activities through Food Craft Institute (FCI) Deoghar”, said Vishal Sagar.

Dignitaries Present at the Launch
The inauguration event was attended by several dignitaries, including SDM Ravi Kumar, District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) secretary Mayank Tusar Toppo, Principal Magistrate JJB Banking Chandra Chatterjee, DPRO Rahul Kumar Bharti, DPO Mukesh Kumar, DSWO Ranjana, ADPRO Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, and other district administration officers.
