Jharkhand News: Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus special trains cancelled

Dhanbad, April 26: The newly introduced Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special trains (03327/03328) have been cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances. These were the first direct trains between Dhanbad and Mumbai.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) and Senior Public Relations Officer of the Dhanbad Rail Division, Md Iqbal, informed the media that train number 03327, which was scheduled to depart from Dhanbad on April 26, has been cancelled.

Similarly, train number 03328, scheduled to depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on April 27, has also been cancelled.

262 Ticketless Travellers Caught at Dhanbad Station

A special ticket-checking drive conducted at Dhanbad railway station under the East Central Railway Zone (ECR) on Friday resulted in the detection of 262 ticketless travellers. The drive was held between 7 am and 7 pm.

A total fine of ₹1.40 lakh was collected during the operation. According to officials, all mail and express trains were thoroughly checked after entry and exit points of the station were blocked. In addition to ticketless passengers, some valid ticket-holders were also fined for carrying unbooked luggage.

“The Dhanbad Rail Division urges all passengers of the East Central Railway to enter platforms with valid tickets and travel in the class for which they have purchased tickets,” the official added.
