Dhanbad, July 30: The only direct train service between Dhanbad and Mumbai, the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special Express, has been extended till October 2, 2025.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr DCM) of Dhanbad Railway Division, Md Iqbal, said the extension aims to provide greater convenience and travel accessibility for passengers.

Both trains—03379 and 03380—will continue operating in the up and down directions as per the current schedule.

Extended Schedule Details

As per the notification, train no. 03379 Dhanbad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special will run from August 5, 2025 (Tuesday) to September 30, 2025. Similarly, train no. 03380 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Dhanbad Special Express will operate from August 7, 2025 (Thursday) to October 2, 2025.

The Sr DCM confirmed that the timings and halts will remain unchanged. The trains will consist of 2 coaches each of Second and Third AC, 6 coaches of AC Economy, 6 Sleeper coaches, and 4 General coaches.

Both trains will continue to operate weekly—03379 departs Dhanbad every Tuesday, while 03380 leaves Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Thursday.

Dhanbad–Bhubaneswar Special Also Extended

In addition to this, the Dhanbad–Bhubaneswar Special train has also been extended. Train no. 02832 Bhubaneswar–Dhanbad Special will run from August 1 to August 18, 2025, while train no. 02831 Dhanbad–Bhubaneswar Special will operate from August 2 to August 19, 2025, Sr DCM Md Iqbal informed.
