ECRKU leaders inform about implementation of demands

Dhanbad, May 11: The Dhanbad Rail Division has,  on the request of the East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU), agreed to cancel the Andaman tour programme of employees till basic problems are solved.

Giving this information to media persons,  ECRKU Additional General Secretary cum PNM in-charge Md Ziauddin today said that the Dhanbad  Rail  Division management has also assured to change track maintainer department and give final shape to  10 per cent induction quota.

The personnel officer of Dhanbad Rail Division, Ajit Kumar, also discussed different demands of the ECRKU seriously and informed that the Division has sent a proposal to ECR Zonal headquarters in Hajipur in this regard for approval.

It is worth mentioning here that the Divisional Railway has sought applications from employees for the Andaman tour programme under the welfare fund.

The ECRKU had opposed the tour programme saying that the programme should be held only after solving all pending problems of employees. In this regard, ECRKU   under Md Ziauddin had given a memorandum to the Divisional Railway management.

Md Ziauddin said that the divisional management also ensured to start upgrading the process of Signal Department staff who have been not given benefits by re-valuating annual reports and preparing proposals for renovation of all Recreation Clubs of Division.

At the meeting, the divisional management also informed that staff suffering from serious ailments for a long time have been assisted by the Employees Welfare Fund for treatment.

On the occasion, besides  Md Ziauddin, additional general secretary ECRKU OM Prakash, AIRFZonal Secretary OP Sharma, Central Organizing Secretary Somen Dutta, Netaji Subhash,  media spokesperson NK Khawas, RK Singh Basant Kumar Dubey and JK Yadav were also present.
