Dhanbad, May 21: Ten-day ‘Summer Training Camp’ of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro concluded on Tuesday with a high productivity rate.
DPS officials said the camp commenced on May 12 wherein around 500 students from Classes IV-XII participated. They have imparted minute tips and training in several games including athletics, basketball, badminton, football, table tennis, volleyball, cricket and aerobics along with daily Yoga sessions.
In an atmosphere of entertainment, fun and enthusiasm, children were given important information related to skill development including physical fitness, mental alertness, sportsmanship, sociality and emotional balance. Students learnt the skills of these sports and enjoyed them thoroughly during the summer camp under the able guidance of the expert teachers of the school in 10 10-day courses.

Entertainment for all cadets
“It was indeed a valuable opportunity added with entertainment for all cadets participating in the summer camp in an enjoyable and supportive environment which helped us in learning teamwork spirit, personality development, discipline and leadership skills”, said a satisfied participant.
Congratulating the students for their active participation in the summer camp, the principal, Dr A S Gangwar said, “Such camp ensures physical and mental fitness besides learning useful techniques in various fields of indoor and outdoor games which ultimately helps youngsters in their overall development”.
He said that DPS Bokaro is always committed to the all-round development of the students and the summer camp was organised in this series. It was organized with the aim of enhancing physical and mental health, patience and endurance among students.
