Ranchi, Oct 31: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, organized a grand Felicitation Ceremony on Friday at the Vivekananda Auditorium to honour the Distinguished Scholar Badge Holders of Classes VI to XI for the academic session 2024–25.

The occasion was graced by Rakesh Ranjan (IPS), Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi, as the Chief Guest. The presence of the parents of the awardees added significance to the event, making it a memorable and enriching celebration.

The programme commenced on a soulful note with a melodious rendition by the school choir, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest.

Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan extended a welcome to the guest and expressed gratitude to him for gracing the occasion despite his busy schedule. She felicitated him with a sapling and a memento. The ceremony further came alive with a dance performance by the students.

The highlight of the day was the felicitation of 188 meritorious students for their exemplary academic achievements. The students were conferred with distinctions such as the Second Blue Tie (for seven consecutive years), Second Blue Blazer (for six consecutive years), Scholar Blue Badge (for five consecutive years), Scholar Blue Tie (for four consecutive years), Scholar Blue Blazer (for three consecutive years), Scholar Badge for two consecutive years, and Scholar Badge for the first year.
Adding to the glory, 38 qualifiers of the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) 2025 were also felicitated for their outstanding performance.
The auditorium echoed with applause as these young achievers walked onto the stage to receive their honours.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest, Ranchi SSP Rakesh Ranjan (IPS) lauded the academic brilliance and moral strength of the students. He commended DPS Ranchi for fostering excellence and holistic development.

In his address, he said, “This felicitation is not merely a celebration of achievements, but a tribute to discipline, resilience, and determination. Each of you seated here is a torchbearer of our nation’s future. True success lies not in medals or certificates, but in the humility you retain and the difference you make in the lives of others.”
He encouraged students to embrace challenges with courage and compassion, and to use their education as a tool to create a better tomorrow.
In her address, Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan congratulated the achievers and extended gratitude to the parents and teachers for being the guiding pillars of the students’ success.
“Our students are the pride of DPS Ranchi,” she said, “but behind every shining achiever stands a parent whose unwavering support makes success possible, and a teacher whose dedication and guidance light the path to excellence. Parents are the strongest pillars, and teachers the guiding stars who inspire curiosity and confidence.”

She reminded everyone that this milestone is not an end but a beginning — a step toward greater goals. “Let today’s recognition be a reminder that success is a continuous journey of learning and self-improvement. May our students continue to rise higher, dream bigger, and make a positive difference in the world,” she concluded.
The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks, extending appreciation to the Chief Guest, parents, teachers, and students for their participation and contribution to making the event a grand success.
