Ranchi, Dec 17: In a celebration of creativity, innovation, and academic prowess, Delhi Public School, Ranchi hosted the much-anticipated Project Model Exhibition ‘A Kaleidoscopic Journey: Where Creativity Meets Knowledge’ on Tuesday.
The event was graced by Manjunath Bhajantri, Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, as the Chief Guest, and M.K. Mehta, Former Senior Faculty Member, Department of Chemistry, DPS Ranchi, as the Guest of Honour.
The exhibition provided a platform for students to display their out-of-the-box ideas, innovation, and the fruits of their classroom learning. With participation from the Primary to Senior Wings (Classes Nursery to IX and XI), the event witnessed the students’ remarkable talents in critical thinking, problem-solving, and applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
Impressive projects and creative displays
The uniqueness of the exhibition lay in its diverse coverage of subjects including Mathematical Modelling, Environmental Science, Tech Innovation, Social Science, Economics, Art and Craft, Photography, Sports and Physical Education, and Foreign Languages. More than 900 models were displayed, reflecting the brilliance of young minds and their innovative spirit.

Students showcased an impressive range of models on topics like Ram Mandir, Solar Power Boat, Smart House, Waste to Electricity, Voice Operated Robot, Fire Extinguisher Robot, Hydroponic Farming System, Carbon Purifier, Third Eye for the Blind, Fire Fighting Robot, and Reusable Spacecraft. The exhibition also featured class magazines from each section, adding an extra dimension of creativity.
Engaging thematic corners and scientific concepts
The Primary Wing presented exhibits across subjects such as Science, Social Science, Math, Sports, Art, Literature, and Foreign Languages. The highlight was the live orchestra performance by the Primary Wing Choir. Students from Classes Nursery to II, dressed as Green Brigade, raised awareness about environmental conservation through their engaging acts.
Dedicated thematic corners like Olympics Corner, Christmas Corner, World of Insects, Matra Khidki, Poetry Corner, and Kids Story Corner added vibrance to the event.

A significant attraction of the expo was the students’ models demonstrating scientific concepts such as Oersted Experiment, Newton’s Laws, Electromagnetic Induction, Hydraulic Systems, Fibonacci Sequence, Bernoulli Principle, and Satellite Imaging.
The Art and Craft section mesmerized visitors with an array of photography, paintings, and canvases. Projects dedicated to foreign languages showcased the advantages of mastering different languages, emphasizing cognitive benefits and cultural enrichment.
Ranchi DC applaud students’ efforts
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Manjunath Bhajantri said, “This exhibition is a testament to the creativity and talent of young minds at DPS Ranchi. The students have shown a deep understanding of real-world issues and innovative ways to address them. Such events foster experiential learning, creativity, and problem-solving skills, which are essential for the future.”

Principal Dr. R.K. Jha, lauding the efforts of students and teachers, remarked, “The exhibition is an excellent example of active learning, a cornerstone for successful learning that grooms children to be future-ready learners for life. These academic activities are wonderful tools that engage all students and teachers in learning new facts and help them develop curiosity to acquire more knowledge and bring out the best from them.”
