After the matter came to light, the ED summoned Kamlesh Kumar for questioning at the Ranchi Zonal Office. However, Kamlesh absconded instead of appearing in response to the ED’s summons.
Following this, at noon on Friday, the ED team arrived at a flat in Astro Green, Chandni Chowk, Kanke Road. But just before the ED’s arrival, Kamlesh had left the location.
In the presence of independent witnesses, the ED searched the flat, where they found 100 live cartridges and one crore in cash. The agency also recovered several important pieces of evidence, including documents related to the land.
After the raid at Kamlesh’s Kanke Road premises, the ED also conducted a raid at Kamlesh’s residence on Cheshire Home Road later in the evening.
