Jamshedpur, July 28: The Department of History at Sona Devi University, Ghatsila, felicitated the winners of an essay competition organised on the occasion of Hul Diwas.
Certificates were awarded to the winners at a ceremony held today.
Vice-Chancellor J.P. Mishra and Registrar Gulab Singh Azad presented the certificates and congratulated the students for their achievement.

The winners were announced as follows:
First Prize: Vipasha Nayak (B.Tech, Computer Science)
Second Prize: Pragya Kumari (B.Tech, Computer Science)
Third Prize: Jointly won by Khushi (B.Tech, Computer Science) and Megha Das (B.Pharm).

Head of the History Department, Kanchan Sinha, highlighted that such events not only enhance historical awareness among students but also foster social responsibility and the ability to express ideas effectively.
The ceremony was attended by several faculty members, research scholars, and students of the university.
