Jamshedpur, Feb 12: In a tragic incident, father and daughter were killed on the spot whereas a teenage son was injured in a road mishap at Jemco under Telco thana area at the early hours on Wednesday.
The Scooty the trio were riding on was hit by a heavy vehicle near a roundabout at Jemco, causing 38-year-old Krishna Kumar Sharma and his 19-year-old daughter Anjali Kumari to die on the spot.
In the mishap, 17-year-old Vicky Kumar who is the son of Krishna Kumar Sharma sustained multiple injuries. He has been admitted to the MGM Medical College Hospital by the police.

Missed Train Leads to Tragic Outcome
A resident of Janata Path in Barigora locality in Parsudih, Krishna Kumar was supposed to drop his daughter at the Tatanagar station to catch the Kriyayog Express. Vicky Kumar had also accompanied them.

Anjali was to travel by train to Ranchi where she was scheduled to appear for a competitive exam on Wednesday.
But due to failing to reach the station on time, Anjali missed the train and subsequently, she was returning home along with her father and brother by the Scooty and unfortunately fell victim to the mishap.
The heavy vehicle had disappeared leaving the trio at the mishap scene. When a patrolling party arrived at the spot, the police rushed all three to the medical college hospital where the doctor on emergency duty declared Krishna Kumar and Anjali as brought dead. Vicky Kumar who is a student of Class IX was admitted to the hospital for the multiple injuries he had sustained in his legs.
Krishna Kumar was an employee of a cement plant located in Jojobera in the adjoining Govindpur.
A pall of gloom descended in the Barigora locality as the news of the father-daughter’s tragic deaths spread across the area on Wednesday morning.
