The deceased have been identified as Sanoul Ansari, his daughters Arfeen Parveen (12) and Zaiba Naj, and his son Safaul Ansari (6).

Dumri SDPO Sumit Prasad, under whose jurisdiction the Khukhra police station falls, told the media that the incident is believed to have taken place between 2 to 3 a.m. on Sunday. The tragedy came to light in the morning when Sanoul Ansari’s neighbours noticed no movement inside the house.
