Upon peeking inside, they found Sanoul hanging from a rope, while his children lay lifeless on the floor. They immediately informed the Khukhra police station.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Sanoul strangled his children before hanging himself. His wife was away at her maternal home at the time of the incident.
Sanoul Ansari worked as a mason and also ran a ration shop for his livelihood.
The bodies have been sent to Giridih Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. Senior police officials later arrived at the scene to investigate further.
