Ranchi, March 16: The medical officer in charge of Bishunpur Community Health Centre (CHC) in Gumla, Dr. Sonali Daisy Minz, along with nurses Sakunta Kumar and Cicilia Soreng, was assaulted by three drunken youths while on night duty during the Holi festival.

In addition to attacking the doctor and nurses, the assailants also vandalized hospital property.
Acting swiftly, Bishunpur police arrested all three accused—Sagar, Kamlesh, and Amal—within 12 hours of the incident.

Incident Details
According to the FIR filed by the victims, the attack took place around 11:30 PM on Thursday night.

At the time, all three medical professionals were in the labour room, attending to an emergency case. Meanwhile, Sagar, Kamlesh, and Amal arrived at the hospital in an intoxicated state. Sagar had sustained injuries on his hands and legs from a fall. After providing him with treatment, Dr. Minz returned to the labour room to care for a critical patient.
However, soon after, the three inebriated youths began assaulting the nurses. Hearing their screams, Dr. Minz rushed to their aid, only to be abused with obscene language. The attackers also overturned tables and damaged hospital infrastructure.
