Jamshedpur, March 8: In a grand celebration of International Women’s Day, social organisation Aagaaz organized a special felicitation ceremony in Bistupur, where five accomplished women from the city were honoured for their remarkable contributions in various fields.

Former MLA of Baharagora, Kunal Sarangi graced the occasion as the chief guest, alongside Central Sikh Naujwan Sabha President Sardar Amrik Singh and social worker Chanchal Bhatia.

The organization, through its initiative ‘Aagaaz Dwar,’ identified and recognized five exceptional women for their outstanding achievements: Priya Kumari – A young entrepreneur and owner of two successful restaurants in the city. Priya Mahali – An international archer who has won multiple gold and silver medals. Preeti Sagar – A theatre artist and news anchor known for her impactful storytelling. Pinky Yadav – A sports teacher at Loyola School who overcame numerous struggles to achieve her dream. Rajni Upadhyay – A committed blood donor with 50 donations and five platelet donations to her credit.

Kunal Sarangi presented mementoes and prizes to the honorees, appreciating their dedication and perseverance. The distinguished guests present at the event were also felicitated by the organization with shawls as a token of respect.

In his address, Kunal Sarangi extended his heartfelt wishes to all women on International Women’s Day, emphasizing that every day is a celebration of women’s contributions. “Women today have created a distinct identity for themselves across all fields, from sports to politics, through their hard work and abilities,” he remarked.

The program was skillfully conducted by the founder president of Aagaaz Sanstha, Inderjit Singh. The event also saw the participation of notable individuals including Harmeet Kaur of Aagaaz, Simran Bhatia of Hindu Ekta Manch, Kumaresh Upadhyay, Jagpreet Singh JD, Manish Kewat, Rajdeep Singh, Jagjit Singh, Amanjot Singh Lal, and Satwinder Singh, among others.
