Ranchi, Dec 20: Under the guidance of Jharkhand High Court Judge and JHALSA Executive Chairman Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, a two-day legal awareness program was organized at Birsa Munda Central Jail.

The primary aim of the program was to reconnect the inmates of the central jail with mainstream education.

For those inmates whose studies were interrupted due to imprisonment, arrangements will be made, with the support of DLSA Ranchi, to enrol them again in Class 10 and Class 12 and facilitate their examinations.

According to the information, the enrollment process for 46 inmates in Class 10 and 13 inmates in Class 12 has been initiated. Additionally, the enrollment process for 13 inmates in undergraduate courses through IGNOU, Ranchi, has also started.

Study centers for IGNOU and NIOS have been established within Birsa Munda Jail, and arrangements have been made to conduct exams inside the jail itself.
