Jamshedpur, June 14: The Sakchi Gurudwara Management Committee, under the able leadership of president Sardar Nishan Singh, marked the completion of two highly successful years on June 12.
On this auspicious occasion, an elated Nishan Singh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Sadh Sangat of Sakchi and announced that the roadmap for future service projects is already in place.
Committee president presides over review meeting
In a review meeting held to reflect on the development works accomplished during his tenure, Nishan Singh emphasized his commitment to fulfilling the promises made to the Sangat. He acknowledged that the energy and inspiration to achieve these milestones stemmed from the unwavering support of the Sangat.
The anniversary review meeting, presided over by Nishan Singh, saw the attendance of key committee members, including General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale, Satinder Singh Romi, Satpal Singh Bobby, Surjit Singh Chhite, Satbir Singh Goldu, Gurpal Singh, Jagminder Singh, Balbir Singh Dhanjal, Trilochan Singh Tochi, Jasbir Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Pritpal Singh, Ajaib Singh, Kartar Singh, Charan Kaur, Jatinderpal Kaur, Ninderjit Kaur, Manjit Kaur, Pinky Kaur, Raj Kaur, Rajbir Kaur, and Gurmeet Kaur Sidhu. They collectively praised the committee’s efforts, taking pride in the significant development work achieved.

Sakchi Gurudwara achievements: Beautification, marble Palki, solar power
Nishan Singh and General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale shared their happiness and pride in detailing the major accomplishments over the past two years. They highlighted the beautification of the Gurdwara Sahib building and the installation of a new Palki Sahib, crafted from high-quality Makrana marble, as standout projects.
Additionally, the entire Gurdwara Sahib has been centrally air-conditioned, and a state-of-the-art music system has been installed to enhance the auditory experience of Gurbani-Kirtan for the congregation.
Another notable achievement is the installation of a solar power system, making the Gurdwara more sustainable.
Community enrichment initiatives and infrastructure development
The committee has also organized numerous religious and community events, including monthly Kirtan Darbars and Guru’s unbroken langar on Sangrand, a four-day cultural fair during Baisakhi, turban competitions, blood donation camps, and eye check-up camps.
Presently, the construction of Baba Budha Ji’s residence for Granthi and Ragi Singh is underway. Efforts to beautify and gain recognition for Guru Nanak High and Middle School are also in progress.
Nishan Singh credited the rapid pace of development to the support and blessings of the Sangat and the diligent efforts of the committee members. He assured that the coming years would witness even more substantial development projects, taking the Gurdwara to new heights.
