Jamshedpur, March 4: ‘Jeevan,’ the suicide prevention center dedicated to mental health support in Jamshedpur, has ushered in the New Year with renewed energy by inviting volunteers to join the cause. This strategic move aims to intensify efforts to curb suicide incidents in the city and provide emotional support to a larger community segment.

Established in 2006 with just four hours of daily service, ‘Jeevan’ has progressively expanded its outreach and currently operates for eight hours each day. In response to the rising number of mental health-related cases in Jamshedpur, the center has decided to further extend its services to help more people in need of emotional support.

Officials at ‘Jeevan’ emphasized the importance of community involvement in their mission to prevent suicides. They made a request to people who possess a genuine desire to support those in emotional distress to join as volunteers.
