Ranchi, Dec 16: Devendernath Mahto, leader of the Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM), has been taken into custody by the police for protesting against the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Secretariat Assistant (CGL) exam. The police apprehended him at Sadabahar Chowk.
During the incident, the police used force, carrying out a lathi charge on the protesting students and dispersing them.

Earlier, the police tried to persuade the students to leave, but they refused. Subsequently, the police used force and carried out a lathi charge.
