Dhanbad, Feb 19: The four-member election committee of the Jharkhand State Health Services Association (JSHSA), the leading organization representing state government doctors, has received widespread appreciation for ensuring a fair and transparent election for the 2025-27 term.

Even Jharkhand’s Health Minister, Dr. Irfan Ansari, lauded the committee’s efforts in conducting the polls smoothly.

Meticulous Election Execution Across 24 Districts

The election committee, comprising Deputy Director of Health Dr. Lal Majhi, Deputy Director Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Dr. R. K. Singh, and Dr. Vikash Kumar Gupta, managed the voting process efficiently despite their demanding office schedules. Over a one-month preparation period, they successfully organized polling in Ranchi and 23 other districts of the state.

To maintain transparency, the committee members personally delivered ballot boxes to all 24 districts under their supervision—an unprecedented level of meticulousness in JSHSA elections.

Apart from Dr. Sidheswar Baskey, a candidate for the convener post from Ranchi, no other contestant lodged any complaints, further reinforcing the credibility of the election process.

Health Minister and Officials Laud the Committee

Recognizing the election committee’s efforts, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari commended Dr. Majhi and his team during the office-bearer installation ceremony held at the IMA Hall in Ranchi on February 16. Their dedication to conducting a free and fair election set a new benchmark for organizational polls.

Newly elected JSHSA Secretary Dr. Thakur Mritunjay Kumar Singh also praised the four election committee members, highlighting that other organizations within the state have sought their expertise for conducting their own elections.

“Impressed by the working style of the JSHSA election committee, Indian Medical Association (IMA) state secretary Dr Pradeep Kumar Singh has highly praised and requested to join in conducting the election of his (IMA) organization”, said Dr Thakur Mritunjay Kumar Singh.

JSHSA Founder Recognizes Exceptional Leadership

JSHSA founder Dr. Sumant Mishra also applauded Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Lal Majhi and his team for conducting a smooth and transparent election.

Dr. Mishra, who has previously served as both president and secretary alongside Dr. Praveen Chandra for several terms, remarked that the 2025-27 election was particularly challenging. However, Dr. Majhi and his team handled the situation with remarkable efficiency, earning the trust of all candidates and ensuring a credible electoral process.
