Locals urge resumption of express train halts
One of the major concerns raised by local passengers and villagers during the DRM’s visit was the suspension of halt for four express trains at Kandra station—a disruption that began during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This lack of stoppage has posed serious travel inconveniences, especially for those who depend on these trains for their daily commute and intercity travel.
Responding to these concerns, the DRM assured the public that the issue has been officially communicated to the Railway Board. “We have completed all necessary preparations from our side. Now we are awaiting formal instructions from the Railway Board. As soon as we receive the green light, the halts for the express trains at Kandra will be reinstated,” he said.
