Jamshedpur, Jan 29: In a remarkable initiative driven by the spirit of social service, the Loyola Alumni Association (LAA) has launched the Jaan Seva Kendra, a free legal consultation center aimed at assisting the poor and underprivileged.

The center, operating under the LAA Legal Cell, will provide free legal advice and consultation to those who lack access to legal assistance due to financial constraints, illiteracy, or lack of awareness.

This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between the underprivileged and their fundamental rights, ensuring that people are not denied justice due to a lack of knowledge or resources.

In addition to legal advice, the center will also educate people about various welfare schemes run by the Central and State Governments, such as Aadhar Card, Voter Card, Ration Card, E-Shram Card, Ayushman Card, and pension schemes for senior citizens and widows.

The legal team of the LAA Legal Cell comprises accomplished Loyola alumni, including Advocate Abhishek Choubey of Jamshedpur Court, Advocate Pradipto Mitra, Advocate Kashish Tiwari (Ranchi High Court), Advocate Pranay Vats, Shruti Sarkar of Tata Steel, and Tejbir Singh, a former Supreme Court practitioner. The initiative is also backed by Loyola alumni who now serve as senior advocates in various High Courts across the country.
