Ranchi, March 1: In a sudden decision, the state government transferred Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner (DC) Varun Ranjan, a 2014 batch IAS officer, soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the coal city.
Jharkhand Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (JIIDCO) MD Madhvi Mishra, a 2015 batch IAS officer, will be the new Dhanbad DC. Ranjan will replace Madhvi in JIIDCO.
Though officially, it was yet to be known the reason behind the sudden transfer of Ranjan, who had been deployed there nine months back and was doing a fine job, sources attributed it to ‘some protocol lapses (Not of PM)’.
