Dhanbad, June 12: A minor girl (14) was gang raped by her minor lover and his six friends on two consecutive days in the Duhatand area under Dhansar police station, around 5 km away from the district headquarters.
Victim was locked in a room
A police official said the girl’s lover called her at his residence on Sunday evening and raped her with a friend. The accused kept her locked in a room after the crime and the next day (on Monday evening) handed it over to his five friends who took her away to a nearby bush and raped her.
Having heard the crying of the girl, local people reached the spot but before it all five boys had escaped. Police were informed duly and the girl was sent to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) for treatment.

Video of crime
Dhansar police station officer-in-charge Manoj Pandey said that 7 accused not only raped her but one of them also made a video of the crime. Police recovered the mobile from the crime spot.
Police officials said that on the statement of the victim girl, an FIR has been lodged against seven boys in this connection and raids are being conducted for their arrest.
On the directive of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), the girl has been sent to Shelter Home for her protection.
