Jamshedpur, May 11: In a spectacular showcase of intellect and creativity, Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) in Jamshedpur hosted the Biofest 2024 event, a celebration of intellectual brilliance and creative genius.

The college welcomed participants from prestigious institutions across Jharkhand for a state-level quiz and poster-making extravaganza.

The event provided a platform for budding medical minds to display their prowess in medicine and artistic talents.

MTMC Jamshedpur wins quiz competition

After rigorous preliminary rounds, 28 finalists from seven teams emerged, representing esteemed institutions such as MGM Medical College Jamshedpur, Lakshmi Chandravanshi Medical College Palamu, SBMCH Hazaribagh, and PJMCH Dumka, along with teams of MTMC Jamshedpur.

Under the keen eyes of esteemed judges, Dr. Matin Ahmad Khan, Professor and HOD Biochemistry of LCMCH Palamu, and the presence of dignitaries like Dean of MTMC, Director academics and quality and Associate Deans, and HOD Biochemistry the competition unfolded across six challenging rounds.

MTMC Jamshedpur clinched both first and second place, with LCMCH Palamu securing a commendable third place, showcasing their dominance in the field.

The victory of the team Rosalind from MTMC was a testament to their teamwork, quick thinking, and profound knowledge of medical sciences. Despite facing stiff competition, they displayed remarkable resilience, ultimately claiming the top spot and earning well-deserved recognition.

RIMS Ranchi tops in poster-making competition

Beyond the quiz, the poster-making competition added another layer of excitement, highlighting the artistic talents within the medical community. Elice Topno from RIMS Ranchi emerged as the champion, with Tanishqa Garg from MTMC Jamshedpur and Ankit Maity from LCMCH Palamu securing second and third positions, respectively.

The success of the event can be attributed to the dedication of the Biochemistry department, whose seamless execution left an indelible mark on participants and audience alike.

The Biofest-2024 Jharkhand State-level Quiz and Poster Making Competition not only celebrated knowledge and creativity but also fostered camaraderie among young medical enthusiasts. It stands as a benchmark for future events in the field, inspiring the next generation of healthcare leaders to strive for excellence.
