Jamshedpur, June 25: A youth from Chatra district died under mysterious circumstances at a hotel near Dimna Chowk in Mango under the MGM police station area.
The youth had arrived in Jamshedpur on Tuesday night around 10 PM with three companions. On Wednesday morning, after reportedly falling ill, he was rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
According to police sources, his companions informed the hotel staff about his deteriorating health, following which he was taken to the hospital. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed yet, but his family has been informed and is en route from Chatra.

MGM Police Station in-charge Rambabu Tiwari visited TMH with his team to take stock of the situation.
He confirmed that the body is currently kept in the hospital mortuary and will be sent for post-mortem after the arrival of the family.
The police are investigating the incident from all angles, including checking hotel CCTV footage and questioning the deceased’s companions and hotel staff.
The cause of death is unclear—whether natural or involving foul play. Authorities are also looking into the purpose of the group’s visit to Jamshedpur.

A hotel staff member, requesting anonymity, said the group had checked in on Tuesday night, booked two rooms, and showed no signs of unusual behaviour.
The exact cause of death will only be known after the post-mortem report is released.
