Jamshedpur, Jan 9: Tata Steel Zoological Park got a new home for antelopes- Blackbuck and Nilgai.

The enclosure was inaugurated by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services, Tata Steel, and President, Tata Steel Zoological Park on Wednesday.

The newly constructed enclosure is a part of Tata Zoo’s commitment to providing enriched habitats for its animal residents, promoting conservation, and enhancing the visitor experience.

Spread across a sprawling area, the enclosure has been meticulously designed to mimic the natural habitat of Blackbucks and Nilgais, offering them a safe and comfortable environment.

The enclosure features a variety of naturalistic elements, including grassy meadows, shaded areas, and a secure yet open design that allows visitors to observe the animals in a serene environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Chanakya Chaudhary said, “Tata Steel Zoological Park has always been at the forefront of wildlife conservation and education. The inauguration of the Blackbuck and Nilgai enclosure is another step in our efforts to create awareness about the need to protect and conserve wildlife.”

This initiative underscores Tata Steel’s long-standing commitment to environmental sustainability.
