Ranchi, March 28: A shoe shopkeeper was brutally murdered near Ravi Steel Chowk in the Pandra area of Ranchi sparking outrage among local residents. In protest against the killing, angry people blocked the road on Friday by placing bamboo barricades and set tires on fire in the middle of the street.

Protesters also forced the closure of all commercial establishments from Pandara to Ratu. The enraged crowd is demanding the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and tried to pacify the protesters. The situation in the area was tense.

Notably, on Thursday evening, criminals brutally slit the throat of Bhupal Sahu, the owner of Vishal Footwear, near Ravi Steel Chowk in the Pandara OP area.

According to reports, Bhupal was inside his shop when a criminal entered, posing as a customer. After staying in the shop for about four minutes, the assailant suddenly slit Bhupal’s throat and fled the scene.
At the time of the incident, no one else was present in the shop. Blood started flowing out of the shop, alerting people to the crime. Locals rushed Bhupal Sahu to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.
