Jamshedpur, February 21: Almost 72 hours after a 25-year-old youth, Rabi Kumar, was injured in a gun-shot attack in Sonari, the police have on Wednesday arrested one of the accused responsible for the attack.
Identified as Golu Machhua (27), the arrested person had attacked Rabi in a sequel to an old enmity.
Rabi, who is a resident of Nirmal Bustee in Sonari, was attacked around midnight on February 18 when he was going to meet nature’s call in a bush near his house.

Revealing the breakthrough, SP (City) Mukesh Lunayat said that a month ago, Golu and Rabi had developed enmity after a quarrel over something.
“Ever since the enmity, Golu had been trying to attack Rabi. On Sunday midnight, while the victim came out of his house to relieve himself, Golu, who was keeping watch on his target, stealthy fired a shot at the victim, causing him to sustain an injury in the back, ” said Lunayat while talking to the newsmen today.
The City SP pointed out during interrogation that it came to the fore that Golu was not alone and, instead, two more youths were also with him when Rabi was attacked.
The senior police officer pointed out that a special team was set up to detect the case and tried to arrest the remaining two accused.
