Jamshedpur, Sept 6: A daring daylight robbery near Bistupur Gurudwara on Thursday sent shockwaves across the city after armed criminals looted Rs 30 lakh from businessman Saket Agiwal, a Hindustan Lever agency operator and resident of Gurudwara Basti Road No. 2.

Sources said the criminals had been tracking the businessman for at least three days prior to the incident.
On the day of the crime, the robbers waited near the Gurudwara. As Agiwal was leaving his house, two men on a scooter overtook him, threw chili powder into his eyes, and snatched the bag containing the cash before escaping.
Investigations found that one of the suspects was recently released from jail. Police suspect that insider information about Agiwal’s routine and cash movement was leaked by someone close to him. Several suspects have already been detained for questioning.
To crack the case swiftly, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed. Multiple police teams are carrying out raids, and officials claim that the culprits will be arrested soon.
