Jharkhand News: Ranchi-New Giridih Express extended to Madhupur

Dhanbad, Jan. 4: Newly launched Ranchi-New Giridih Express train has been extended to Madhupur station from January 6.

Dhanbad Rail Division senior divisional commerce manager (Sr DCM) cum public relation department in-charge Amresh Kumar said that the Railways Ministry had approved the extension of trains no.18617/18618 Ranchi- New Giridih Express till Madhupur station from Saturday.

The official said under the new schedule, train no. 18617 will start from Ranchi station at 6 am and reach Madhupur station at 1.50 pm. Similarly, train no. 18618 Madhupur- Ranchi Express will start from Madhupur station at 3.00 pm and get to Ranchi same day at 11.15 pm.

Senior DCM Amresh Kumar said after starting from Ranchi, the train no. 18617 will make first halt at Tatisilway (6.23 am), Mesra station (6.31), Barkakana (7.19), Hazaribagh Town (8.13), Koderma (10.05), Maheshpur (10.59), Dhanwar (11.27), Jamua (11.52), New Giridih (12.58), Maheshmunda (1.15) and Madhupur station at 13.50.
