Jharkhand News: Sacred Heart School Jamshedpur wins Environment Quiz at DBMS School

Jamshedpur, September 18: D.B.M.S English School organized the annual Bishwadeep Sarkar Memorial Inter-School Environment Quiz today, paying tribute to its former student, Bishwadeep Sarkar. The event was led by quiz master Saptashwa Dasgupta, with student volunteer Utkarsh Agarwal assisting in the proceedings.

Aimed at raising environmental awareness, the quiz emphasized the crucial relationship between humans and the environment, highlighting the urgent need for conservation efforts.

“This event reminds us that we are not passive observers but guardians of this planet. Our role is to protect the environment and co-exist with Mother Nature,” said a spokesperson from the school.

Participation of 17 schools

The quiz targeted students from grades VIII to X, with 17 schools competing in the preliminary round. After a fierce competition, five schools qualified for the final stage: Sacred Heart Convent School, Narbheram Hansraj English School, Loyola School, Little Flower School and Rajendra Vidyalaya

The quiz spanned five rounds, testing the participants’ knowledge on a variety of environmental topics. It was not just an educational experience but also a source of entertainment, blending learning with enjoyment for both the participants and the audience.

The event saw the presence of the D.B.M.S Management Committee, Principal  Rajani Shekhar, and Vice Principal  P.K. Sahu, whose unwavering support and guidance were crucial in ensuring the event’s success.

The top three

In a closely contested final, Sacred Heart Convent School emerged victorious, securing the top position with 60 points. Narbheram Hansraj English School claimed the second place with 50 points, while Little Flower School finished third with 30 points.
