Ranchi, Sept 25: The Sahibganj District Chemists and Druggists Association (SDCDA) has voiced its support for the doctors’ OPD boycott and called on the district administration to retract inappropriate measures against medical officers.

SDCDA President Anup Kumar Singh and Krishna Prasad Bhagat criticized the administration’s actions and urged an immediate withdrawal of all punitive measures.

Doctors boycott OPD services

Government doctors in Sahibganj have been boycotting OPD services at Sadar Hospital, Referral Hospital, Sub-Divisional Hospital, and all 7 CHCs and health centres.

This protest is in response to an FIR for culpable homicide against a doctor and the withholding of salary payments for the civil surgeon related to the death case of a six-year-old Pahadi girl.

SDCDA support for doctors

Anup Kumar Singh and Krishna Prasad Bhagat stated, “SDCDA will join and continue support to all protest programmes of Jharkhand Health Services Association (JHSA) under progress in the district till Sahibganj administration does not withdraw the case.”

They also warned that the chemists and druggists would not hesitate to strike if the doctors’ agitation continued.
