Sanjay Seth flags off Ranchi-Gorakhpur Express virtually

Jamshedpur, Oct 15: Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth today flagged off Ranchi-Gorakhpur Express through a video conferencing facility.

Member of Parliament Mahua Maji, MLA C.P. Singh, Jasmeet Singh Bindra, Divisional Railway Manager, Ranchi and other senior officials were present at Ranchi station on the occasion.

On the inaugural day, the train will run as special train 08629 from Ranchi. The regular run of this train will be notified soon.

18629 Ranchi-Gorakhpur Express will leave Ranchi every Friday at 5.10 pm and will reach Gorakhpur at 11.30 am, the next day.

In the return direction, 18630 Gorakhpur-Ranchi Express will leave Gorakhpur every Saturday at 3.30 pm and will arrive Ranchi at 9.25 am, the next day.

The train will have one first AC, two AC-2 Tier, seven AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper and four General Second class coaches and will stop at Muri, Bokaro Steel City, Chandrapura, Dhanbad, Chittaranjan, Jamtara, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Mokama, Patna Saheb, Patna, Patliputra, Dighwara, Chhapra, Siwan, Bhatni and Deoria Sadan.

Various passenger outfits and other rail users lauded the railway’s decision to introduce the train between the two destinations.
