Dhanbad, Dec 16: Local artists from various institutions delivered captivating performances in dance and music conclave organized by Dhanbad Mahanagar Sanskar Bharti at Dr. Hedgewar Memorial Hall, Jagjivan Nagar, on Sunday evening.

The event was held as a precursor to the three-day ‘KalaSadhak Sangam’ function scheduled to take place in Ranchi from December 27 to 29.
Performances by renowned artists
The program began with welcome songs by Sanskar Bharti artists Nishita Niraj, Nirjhar Baxi, Nidhi Sawaria, and Rajdeep Chatterjee.

Renowned artists like Indrajit Chatterjee (devotional song), Kumkum Banerjee (Ravindra Sangeet), and the Ajay Bouri group (folk song) delivered impressive performances.

Tabla players Kaushik Das, Karunamaya Mukherjee, Bhakar, Ranjan Dey, and Basudeo Chatterjee mesmerized the audience with their instrumental skills.
Children’s dance
The children’s dance performances stood out and stole the show. The performances of Ananya Pal, Srijani Pal, and Wrishita Sengupta were particularly appreciated by the chief guests and the audience.
In addition, students from Shaswati Sen (Jharia) and Sanchita Baxi presented a colourful cultural program.
Niraj Prasad and Suvarna Banerjee coordinated the event. The occasion was graced by Sanskar Bharti’s central officials Bindeshwari Chourasia and Bramhanand Dasoundi, along with Dhanbad Mahanagar president Dr. Prasant Kumar, secretary Sanjay Sengupta, associate secretary Dheeraj Sharma, and other prominent figures including Krishna Kumar, Chandan Pal, Vikash Kanti Khan, Shashibhushan Srivastava, and Shivshankar Dhar.
