Jamshedpur, July 2: In view of the ongoing yard remodelling work at Jharsuguda Goods Yard under Chakradharpur Division, the South Eastern Railway today announced extensive regulation of train services between August 18 and September 12.
The move will affect several key passenger and express trains, with services being cancelled, diverted, or short-terminated/originated to facilitate developmental work.
Train Cancellations
A total of 15 trains will face complete cancellations on specific dates. Key affected trains include:

68029/68030 Rourkela–Jharsuguda–Rourkela MEMU from August 18 to September 10
18175/18176 Hatia–Jharsuguda–Hatia Express from August 18 to September 10
18109/18110 Tatanagar–NSCB Itwari Express on August 19–21, August 24–September 2, and September 5–10
18125/18126 Rourkela–Puri Express on August 24–September 2, September 4, and September 8–10

17007/17008 Charlapalli–Darbhanga Express on August 26 & 29 and September 9 & 12

17005/17006 Hyderabad–Raxual Express on August 28 & 31
Special trains like 07051/07052 and 07005/07006 Charlapalli–Raxual Specials on August 30–September 4
12767/12768 Hazur Sahib Nanded–Santragachi Express on September 8 & 10
Other major long-distance trains like 18309/18310 Jammu Tawi–Sambalpur Express, 13425/13426 Malda Town–Surat Express, 15027/15028 Sambalpur–Gorakhpur Express, and 20821/20822 Santragachi–Pune Express will also remain cancelled on select dates.
Train Diversions
Some trains will run on diverted routes to bypass the affected section:
18477/18478 Puri–Yog Nagari Rishikesh Utkal Express will be diverted via Cuttack–Sambalpur City–Jharsuguda Road–Ib (and reverse) on dates including August 23, 25, 27, 29, 31 and September 8–9.
20818 New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express will be diverted via NSCB Gomoh–Adra–Midnapore–Hijli–Bhadrak–Cuttack on August 31.

Short Termination/Origination
Several trains will either start or end their journey at intermediate stations due to the block:
13287/13288 Ara–Durg Express will short terminate/start at Rourkela between August 23–September 1 and September 8–10
15027/15028 Sambalpur–Gorakhpur Express will operate up to/from Hatia on August 23, 25, 27, 29, 31 and August 24, 26, 28, 30, September 1
Ispat Express trains (Howrah–Kantabanji–Titlagarh) will be short terminated/originated at Rourkela or Jharsuguda on select days
The newly introduced 20836/20835 Puri–Rourkela Vande Bharat Express will also start and end at Jharsuguda on August 24, 26, 28, 30 and September 1
Railways has advised passengers to check the latest train status and plan journeys accordingly.
The temporary disruption is aimed at improving infrastructure and ensuring long-term efficiency and safety in train operations.
