Dhanbad, May 24: Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) Dhanbad is set to get postgraduate (PG) seats permission in three more subjects, surgery, orthopaedics and obstetrics and gynaecology soon from 2024-25 session.

Based on faculty strength, the medical college had applied for PG course permission in seven subjects but the National Medical Commission (NMC) has given it in one subject (medicine) and rejected the application for pathology, anaesthesia and biochemistry.

NMC sent a letter of permission only in the medicine ( six PG seats) department on Wednesday to SNMMCH.
