Social outfit Pankhuri celebrates Independence Day in Govt Middle School

Ranchi, August 16: Pankhuri, a social outfit in Ranchi celebrated Independence Day on the premises of Government Middle School at Karamtoli.

Chief Guest on the occasion was the Principal of St Xavier’s College Father Nabor Lakra and guests of honours were BK Sinha of St Xavier’s College, Saurabh Ambastha, MD DARAAD ENGICON PRIVATE LIMITED and SD Singh, State Head of ITHRD.

The programme kicked off with a welcome dance – Sanson ki Sargam Shubh Swagatam by students of std VIII who greeted guests with dance. This was followed by the national anthem- Jana Gana Mana.

All students joined hands for prayer- Tu Ram Hai Tu Rahim Hai followed by a pledge by 155 students who promised to attend school.

Chief guest Father Principal greeted students with Johar and appreciated the efforts shown by the social outfit. “We are happy to attend this program and see smiles on your faces. All of you promise to attend school every day and the rest of things will be followed. We Will be sending our NSS volunteers to teach you all,” he said.

BK Sinha too promised to take English classes through Pankhuri. Later students Dharmita Kumari of std VIII made a speech on Bhagat Singh, Ankit Kumar threw light on the life of Mahatma Gandhi, Kartik Sanjay Singh of std VIII spoke on Birsa Munda, Anushka Kumari of std V spoke on Jawaharlal Nehru.

After the speech chocolates and tri colours were distributed by the Chief Guest who also interacted with the students. Keeping in tune with the spirit of patriotism Pankhuri organised a painting competition on the topics of the national flag, freedom fighters, peacocks, Indian Army.

Present on the occasion were Chairperson of Pankhuri Arti Sahuliyar, Treasurer Hazel Davis, Vice President Rajesh Raj Ravi, Nehar K Das, Sushil Kumar Srivastava, principal Sufia Khatoon, school teachers Sangeeta Singh, Shubhum Kumar, Sangeeta Toppo.
