Jamshedpur, August 28: Jamshedpur’s Bajrangnagar residents, who had been grappling with the issue of unmanaged garbage piling up on their streets, finally found relief through the initiative of social worker Shiv Shankar Singh.
The locality had been facing significant challenges due to a lack of proper garbage disposal, resulting in heaps of waste accumulating along the roadsides. The situation not only caused an unbearable stench but also posed a severe health risk, raising concerns about the potential spread of infectious diseases among the community.

In addition to clearing the streets, Singh’s efforts extended to the Ganesh Puja venue in Bajrangnagar. Recognizing the cultural significance of this event and the need for a clean environment to conduct it, Singh arranged for the JCB machine to fill pits with soil and level the ground. The cleanup of the venue will facilitate a smooth and hygienic celebration of Ganesh Puja, much to the delight of the local residents.
The Swachhata Abhiyan, or cleanliness drive, spearheaded by Singh, did not stop there. Responding to requests from citizens in Cable Harijan Basti, Singh ensured that garbage in that area was also cleared with the help of an RTR JCB machine.
