Jharkhand News: St. John’s High School holds Hindi reading and speech competition

Jamshedpur, July 29: A Hindi Reading and Speech Competition 2025 was held at St. John’s High School, Jugsalai. From junior to senior levels, students delivered recitations and speeches.

The event was graced by Dr. Anita Sharma, an educationist, author, and recipient of the National Teacher Award (2017), who attended as the chief guest. In her address, she praised the students’ efforts and highlighted the importance of Hindi in shaping thoughts and communication.

The judging panel was led by Renu Kumar, senior teacher at Motilal Nehru Public School and active member of the Rotary Club, who evaluated the performances with fairness and depth of insight.

The school principal, Ashu Tiwari, supervised the event. The presence of the school management committee member G. Francis added to the occasion. Teachers Anupama and Khushboo guided the students during their preparations.

In the Group Recitation category (Class 1 to 3), Class III secured the first position, followed by Class II and Class I in second and third places respectively.

In the Recitation Competition for Class 4 and 5, Disha Kumari Prajapati (Class 4) won first prize, Zikra Fatima (Class 5) came second, and Ananya Sharma (Class 4) stood third.

For the middle school segment (Class 6 to 8), Kashyap Fatima (Class 7) bagged the first prize, Saurabh Paul (Class 8) came second, and Atif Sarfaraz (Class 6) secured third position.

In the senior Speech Competition for Classes 9 to 11, Zareen Afreen (Class 9) won the first prize with, followed by Pratishtha Sharma (Class 9) in second place and Ashika Sharma (Class 11) in third.
