Jamshedpur, March 10: At the first meeting of the reconstituted Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Eastern Region Council held in Kolkata, Suvendra Kumar Behera, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of RSB Transmissions (I) Ltd, was elected as the Chairman for the CII Eastern Region Council for the year 2024-25.
Shashwat Goenka, Vice Chairman, RP – Sanjiv Goenka Group, has been elected Deputy Chairman.
Behera, an esteemed industrialist, vice chairman, and managing director of RSB Group, has a long-standing association with CII and has served in various capacities dedicated to India’s industrial progress.
Expressing his commitment to accelerating the industrial growth engine, Behera conveyed that CII has consistently demonstrated commendable efforts since its inception, contributing significantly to India’s industrial development. It has always acted as a bridge between industry and government. He emphasized his dedication to working with fellow members to achieve the shared goal of a developed India with a focus on equality and sustainability and his commitment to preserving the environment. For a greener tomorrow, he will focus on green energy initiatives.
