Dhanbad, July 24: Tata Steel’s Jharia Division organised a breast cancer awareness session at the JRD Tata Auditorium, Jamadoba.

Tata Trusts and TMH Jamshedpur

The Medical Unit of the Jharia Division organised the session on the joint initiative of Tata Trusts and TMH Jamshedpur in which Dr Sanjeev Kumar Jha, a specialist in the oncology department at Tata Main Hospital Jamshedpur sensitised the participants on breast cancer.

200 female employees attend the session

The awareness session was attended by approximately 200 female employees and officers of the Jharia Division, their family members and Tata Steel Foundation Community health workers. The community members from DISHA and Project RISHTA also attended the session.

The session concluded with an interactive session featuring Dr Komal Singh, a consultant in gynaecology and Dr Kushagrah Vishwakarma, a specialist in surgery from Tata Main Hospital, Jamadoba. Dr Aloke, chief medical officer, of Tata Main Hospital Jamadoba, chaired the session.

The earlier session started with a short video of renowned Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, highlighting “Gaanth Pe Dhyan,” focusing on women.

The participants women said the session was very useful and informative for them.
