Jamshedpur Nov 29: Exactly two weeks after a 40-year-old man Abhishek Hembram was shot dead under the suburban Parsudih thana area, police succeeded in arresting two assailants involved in the murder.
Those arrested include the murder victim’s cousin brother Roshan Hembram, the other being Roshan’s close friend Bhola Honhaga.
While making the arrest, the police recovered two country-made pistols from the possession of the accused.
Accused arrested from Odisha
Revealing about the breakthrough, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kishore Kaushal said that the two were arrested from Keonjhar district of Odisha where they had taken refuge having killed Abhishek Hembram at his house in Barigora under the Parsudih thana area on November 15 night.

“Before fleeing the steel city, the accused Roshan Hembram and Bhola Honhaga had destroyed the SIM card so that the police may not track them. But the police came to know about their whereabouts from another accused Rajesh Karmaker who had surrendered in the court on November 20,” said Kishore Kaushal while briefing the newsmen at the police office here on Friday.
The senior police officer pointed out that there is one more accused in the case who is still absconding, adding that they are trying to arrest him.
Abhishek was shot dead on Nov 15
Abhishek Hembram was shot dead while he was preparing to cook food at his house on the night of November 15. The murder victim’s widow had alleged Roshan Hembram and Bhola Honhaga to have committed the murder.
Both Abhishek Hembram and his cousin Bhola Honhaga used to run PDS shops in Parsudih and had developed enmity due to rivalry over the turning out of customers in the respective shops.
